Brigade Emblems

Sacred Kingfisher

The Sacred Kingfisher (Halcyon sancta) is the logo for our brigade. It is common to mainland Australia and other south-western islands in the Pacific. It favours open woodlands and mangroves, and is often sighted in the upper reaches of the Woronora River away from developed areas.

NSW Rural Fire Service

This is the emblem of NSW Rural Fire Service and is affectionately called the burning cabbage. The crown signifies royal assent.
