Research Interests

My research interests are the neurobiological and pshychophysiological correlates of emotional experience, emotional regulation and meditation. My PhD reseach is investigating the influence of short and long term meditative practice on responses to emotion-inducing stimuli in healthy and clinically depressed and anxious humans. This research will contribute to the medical and psychological understanding of emotion and of the effects of meditation, and may provide important insights into the treatment of mood disorders.
