Research Interests:

The focus of my research has mainly been on the study and assessment of intellectual abilities. My major contribution to this field involves the development of dynamic tests. Dynamic tests concentrate specifically on the identification of intellectual potential instead of merely registering what examinees are capable of doing at the given time of testing.

Another stream of my research deals with complex problem solving . The focus of interest here is primarily on knowledge acquisition processes whilst dealing with complex dynamic simulations and their effects upon the quality of system control.

With an experimentally oriented approach to study individual differences in effects of feedback on performance I try to take a broader perspective on potential determinants of problem solving performance by looking at the interaction of cognitive capacities and personality characteristics.

Mental flexibility , as the ability to deal with novelty, adjust to changes, and to break out of routine ways of thinking when necessary, represents another focus of my current research efforts.
