• 1988 -1989	Headed project team for Quality Assurance Project: The treatment of personality disorders. Member of training team for the Diagnostic Interview Schedule Clinical Interviewer (SCAN), CIDI and SCAN reliability trials
• 1989	Recipient of Junior Research Scholarship, Australian Society for Psychiatric Research.
• 1990	Recipient of DOIG Research Fellowship to carry out pilot investigation into the aetiology of anxiety disorders. Recipient of NSW Department of Health Grant to visit Buckingham Mental Health Service, a model mental health service in the UK.
• 1991 - 1995	Headed project team: The development of a community mental health workbook in modules.
• 1991 - 1996	Consultant on the WHO/NIH joint project on the development of ICD-10 Primary Care Version Field trial investigator for WHO ICD-10 Primary Care Version
• 1991 - 1997	Research undertaken for doctoral thesis: The long-term outcome of panic disorder and social phobia.
• 2000 - present	Chief investigator on a NH&MRC funded project evaluating an early intervention programme for anxiety and depression across 20 secondary schools.
• 2001 - present	Chief investigator for a SESQUI grant evaluating the effect of education on bullying in secondary schools.
