Joanna Fardell and Adam Walczak Awarded Conference Prizes

 

Congratulations to PhD students, Joanna Fardell and Adam Walczak who were awarded prizes at the recent Sydney Cancer Conference.

Fardell J. E. Shah, J D., Vardy, J., and Johnston I. N. Exercise ameliorates oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil induced cognitive deficits in laboratory rodents. Prize awarded for Cancer Research Network Postgraduate Oral Presentation Award in the field of Psychosocial Aspects of Cancer Care.

Joanna's research is supervised by A/Prof Janette Vardy and Dr Ian Johnston

Walczak, W. Butow, P. Tattersall, M. Clayton, J. Young, J. Davidson P & Epstein, R. Optimal discussions of prognosis and end-of-life issues: Patient and health professional views and piloting a new question prompt list. Prize awarded for Cancer Research Network Postgraduate Poster Award in the field of Psychosocial Aspects of Cancer Care.

Adam's research is supervised by Prof Phyllis Butow and A/Prof Josephine Clayton
