Lauren Staples Awarded APS Prize for Excellent PhD Thesis
Congratulations to Lauren Staples who received a 2008 Award for an Excellent PhD Thesis in Psychology from the Australian Psychological Society. The purpose of the Award is to encourage and reward outstanding research in psychology by candidates who have completed a PhD at an Australian University in a given year. The Award consists of a grant of $1,000; a one year membership to the Society; and an invitation to present at the Australian Psychological Society Annual Conference.
Lauren's research, an investigation of the behavioural, neural and pharmacological effects of cat-odour induced anxiety in rats, was supervised by Professor Iain McGregor.
