The School of Psychology is seeking an enthusiastic and well organised
person to be responsible for the general administration of Psychology
teaching programmes. The appointee will be responsible for administration
of Psychology 1st year courses and the Bachelor of Psychology and
Graduate Diploma in Psychology programs. Duties include answering
student enquiries; preparing and maintaining course handbooks, promotional
materials and School website information; organising tutorial programs
and maintaining tutorial records; maintaining student database files
of enrolments and marks; preparation and processing of examination
papers, assessment results and materials for assessment meetings;
monitoring student progress in various undergraduate and postgraduate
programs; taking minutes for School committees and contributing
to general office duties.
Essential criteria for this position include: excellent organisational,
communication, customer service and interpersonal skills; excellent
word processing and electronic data management skills and experience
with computer databases and Microsoft packages; the ability to liaise
effectively and relate well with students and staff at all levels;
accuracy and attention to detail, ability to exercise initiative
and meet deadlines.
Desirable criteria include experience in student administration
within a tertiary institution; experience with the Filemaker-Pro
database, WebCT and the FLEXSIS system; and the ability to use statistics
and graphics software is also advantageous.
The position is full-time continuing, subject to the completion
of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees. Membership
of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of
employment for new appointees. Successful applicants will be asked

Remuneration Package: : $52,550 - $58,884 p.a.
(which includes a base salary Level 5 $44,406 - $49,758 p.a., leave
loading and up to 17% employer’s contribution to superannuation)
