Administrative Assistant (Part-time)

The School of Psychology is seeking an enthusiastic and well-organised
person to provide general administrative support. The successful
applicant will be required to work closely with staff and students.
Duties will include assisting with administration of teaching programs;
answering general and student enquiries; processing part-time teaching
claims; and maintaining stationery supplies and room booking systems.
The appointee will also be required to provide relief when other
administrative staff are on leave and is expected to be present
during examination processing periods. The position is part-time
20 hours per week. Ideally, the appointee will work for 4 hours
each day of the week. It is essential that the 20 hours working
time is spread over at least 4 days of the week.
Essential criteria: Excellent communication, organisational and customer service
skills; accuracy and attention to detail; the ability to exercise
initiative and to meet deadlines; and experience with computer databases
and Microsoft packages.
Desirable criteria: Experience with Filemaker-Pro database and
WebCT; previous experience in tertiary institution; experience in
dealing with general and student enquiries.
The position is part-time (20 hours per week) continuing, subject
to the completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees.
Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition
of employment for new appointees. The successful applicant will

Remuneration package: $47,406 - $50,109 p.a. on
a proportional basis (which includes a base salary Level 4 $40,059
- $42,343 p.a. on a proportional basis, leave loading and up to
17% employer’s contribution to superannuation)
