The School of Psychology seeks to appoint a Lecturer (Level B) with suitable expertise and ability to contribute to undergraduate teaching in psychological statistics. The appointee will be expected to develop a research program in any area of psychology, but with a preference for a quantitative area such as individual differences, psychological assessment, psychometrics or mathematical psychology. The School of Psychology attracts excellent undergraduate and postgraduate students and has well-equipped teaching and research facilities. Recent retirements, new appointments and strong enrolments have provided the opportunity for changes in the School’s staffing profile. Ongoing expansion of space and infrastructure will further enhance the School's research and teaching activities. The essential criteria for the position are: a PhD in psychology; a significant record of research achievement that displays statistical expertise; experience in teaching statistics to psychology undergraduates; demonstrated potential for high quality teaching in this area; excellent communication skills and proven ability to work as a team member; and eligibility for membership of the Australian Psychological Society. The position is full-time continuing, subject to the completion of
