The Department is currently housed in four buildings in close proximity to one another. All staff offices are linked to the Department's computing system via Ethernet or Appletalk, as are the laboratories used for work in visual perception, vestibular and oculomotor function. pattern recognition, psychophysiology, social psychology, learning, psychobiology, cognitive processes and clinical psychology. There are five computer- based teaching laboratories and a computer-based quantitative methods laboratory, and a computerised Animal Learning Laboratory.

The Department has an animal holdingfacility (for rats and guinea pigs) together with an audio-visual workshop and laboratory, and electronic, computing and mechanical workshops.

Within the Department there are also facilities which are used for the practical training of postgraduate students and for research. These facilities included an audiovisual compleat, extensive test library and several interview rooms.The Master of Psychology programme offered in clinical psychology is one of the most highly regarded in Australia and the clinic which is run in conjunction with this programme receives referrals from local medical practitioners and community agencies.
