Teaching (1999)

  • Human Mental Abilities (PSYC1002 Course)

  • Personality and Individual Differences (PSYC2114)
    • I supplied notes on the WWW at the end of the semester for all students taking my lectures in this course. This decision reflects my belief that information technologies should be used to supplement (not replace) traditional teaching methods. By the way, there is a growing body of research supporting this position.
  • Psychological Assessment (PSYC3211)

    • I am the coordinator for this course, as well as the principal lecturer and (oft-time) tutor. Follow this link for an outline of this course.

  • Intelligence (3208)

  • Individual Differences Seminar (Psychology IV)
    • I am also supervising honours students in Psychology IV. The following are topics that they will be studying in 1999

Sensory processes, self-confidence, and human cognitive abilities
Individual and group differences in Emotional Intelligence
Processing speed, working memory, and human cognition
Time management, personality, and human cognitive abilities: An integrative perspective

  • Individual Differences Seminar (Graduate Diploma)

  • I am also supervising two Graduate Diploma Students. Their topics are:
    • Internet addiction: Development of a psychometrically sound instrument
    • A multivariate investigation of motivational, personality, and interest measures

  • I also supervised all of Dr Lazar Stankov's postgraduate students while he is away on Sabbatical for the first half of 1999.

  • Assessment (Master of Psychology)
