RESOURCES AND FACILITIES

Main Quandrangle South 371

This laboratory facility contains 6 Macintosh computers, 6 Gateway computers, and a new Microtouch touch-screen computer. Each of the Gateways are enabled with the latest version of SPSS and scores of psychological tests programmed in-house.

S 371 can also seat up to 20 people for paper-and-pencil psychological testing.

Mungo Maccallum 722

This laboratory facility contains 8 Macintosh and 2 IBM computers, each of which are programmed with a variety of mental speed, personality, and cognitive ability measures. This lab also contains photographic documentation of all fourth year or postgraduate students completing research in the area of individual differences since the early 1980s.

Mungo Maccallum 728

This new laboratory facility contains seating for up to 24 people. It is used therefore in group testing of a variety of paper-and-pencil tests recently developed by Stankov and his colleagues.

Facility Usage

From March 1999 to August 1999 (alone), these three facilities were used to test approximately 1500 participants. In several cases, testing of an individual person took up to 4 hours. Conservatively, these facilities have been used for over 3000 hours of testing. Add to this the frequent use of both MM722 and S371 for word processing and statistical analyses and you get some idea as to how valuable these facilities are to the Individual Differences and Assessment Laboratory.
