Program Structure

Doctor of Clinical Psychology/ Master of Science (DCP/MSc)

In first year, all students initially enrol only in the DCP degree (coursework degree). In second year second semester, students also enrol part time in the MSc degree (research degree) whilst being enrolled part time in the DCP degree. In third year, students enrol full time in the MSc degree and enrol part time in the DCP, however, the DCP enrolled units of study carry a zero credit point load. On completion of all requirements for both degrees at the end of the third year, students will graduate with a DCP/MSc degree.

The earliest submission date for the Master of Science research thesis is December 2011 (1.25 years)

The latest submission date for the Master of Science research thesis is August 2012 (2 years)

Please note only students who have made excellent progress and whose projects are of sufficient scope and merit may apply in the first semester of the third year for transfer to a PhD degree, subject to approval and satisfactory production of a thesis proposal. Students who transfer to a PhD will graduate only when they complete requirements for both DCP & PhD degrees.
