Research Requirements
Doctor of Clinical Psychology/ Master of Science (DCP/MSc)
In first year, all students initially enrol only in the DCP degree (coursework degree). In second year second semester, students also enrol part time in the MSc degree (research degree) whilst being enrolled part time in the DCP degree. In third year, students enrol full time in the MSc degree and enrol part time in the DCP, however, the DCP enrolled units of study carry a zero credit point load.
The program involves 3 years of full-time study and includes three components; academic course work, supervised clinical internships and research. The research component of the program is approximately 33% of the program, averaged across the three years. This means that whilst you do not technically enrol in the MSc research degree until second year, you are still required to work on research from the commencement of the program, as outlined below. Please note at the time of application you are not required to nominate a research supervisor.
