Enrolment plan for MSc (LC083)

Second year students are to enrol part time in the Master of Science in Semester 2 by attending the Faculty of Science in person.
The MSc enrolment date is Thursday 23 July 2009.
A - F (9.30-10.30) am, G - L (10.30-11.30) am, M - S (1.00-2.00) pm, T - Z (2.00-3.00pm).

The Admin Officer provides to the Faculty of Science a list of all students eligible to enrol part time in the MSc and a list of the student's primary and associate research supervisor and research project title. The Faculty of Science requires this information in order to generate a MSc enrolment form. Delays may be encountered if the student has not confirmed details of their research supervisors and research project title with the Director of Clinical Research.

Enrolment check

Second year DCP/MSc students are required to enrol in a total of 36 credit points, 24 credit points in Semester 1 and 12 credit points in Semester 2. In Semester 2 second year DCP/MSc students are required to enrol part time in the MSc. All students are required to check their enrolment confirmation notice from the Faculty of Science or International Office against the prescribed list of units of study detailed above. Please note it is the student's responsibility to check the enrolment is correct. Please check that you are enrolled in the correct semester for each unit of study. If you are not correctly enrolled your results will not be reported and the completion of your degree will be affected. The latest date to make changes to enrolment without penalty is the census date, 31 March for Semester 1 and 31 August for Semester 2.

Pre-enrolment

Paper pre-enrolment
If your online pre-enrolment was not successful, you are required to go to the Faculty of Science in person and complete a paper pre-enrolment. Please download a paper pre-enrolment form from the Faculty website. Submit the completed paper pre-enrolment form at the Faculty of Science counter.
The deadline for in person paper enrolment is 30 October 2009.

Online pre-enrolment
Pre-enrol online via your MyUni account. Note the paper pre-enrolment deadline is before the online pre-enrolment deadline so students are advised not to wait until after the paper pre-enrolment deadline has passed before trying to pre-enrol.
The deadline for on-line pre-enrolment is 13 November 2009.

Pre-enrolment is compulsory for all students who are currently enrolled and who intend to continue their studies next year.

DCP (LB001) Second year students are required to pre-enrol in DCP units of study for Semester 1 and Semester 2: PSYC6061 Clinical Internship and Case Seminars 4, PSYC6058 Clinical Internship and Case Seminars 5, PSYC6054 Neuropsychopathology.

MSc (LC083) Students are enrolled part time in the MSc in second year and will enrol full time in the MSc in third year. Second year students need to pre-enrol online or pre-enrol in person for the MSc for third year. Students must pre-enrol in the MSc part time (as it is not possible to pre-enrol full time in the MSc). The Admin Officer sends to Faculty a list of all students eligible to upgrade their attendance pattern from part time to full time. Faculty then manually upgrades your attendance pattern from part time to full time. If you are not pre-enrolled part time in the MSc, Faculty will not be able to manually upgrade your attendance pattern to full time, and you will remain enrolled part time, which will affect your completion.

Re-enrolment

You will have been notified by an email from the Student Centre if your pre-enrolment was not successful. If your pre-enrolment was not successful you are required to go to the Faculty of Science or International Office to re-enrol in person. Location: Carslaw Building Room 251. Times: 9.30-10.30am: Surnames A-F, 10:30-11:30am: Surnames G-L, 1-3:00pm: Surnames M-Z.
The re-enrolment date is 20 February 2009.

Enrolment problems
The Faculty of Science Student Record System FLEXSIS often experiences online pre-enrolment difficulties with the DCP/MSc program. This may be due to second year students being enrolled in two degrees concurrently (part time in the DCP and part time in the MSc), also with third year students being enrolled in zero credit point load units of study. As a result, students often experience difficulties enrolling in ALL DCP units of study, they will then be required to go to the Faculty of Science to complete their enrolment in person by re-enrolling.

Suspension

Students are able to suspend their studies for a maximum of one year.
If you intend to suspend your studies you will need to lodge a Suspension, Absence, Time Away, Total Discontinuation and Complete Away application form with the Faculty of Science Office.

Re-commencement

If you've suspended your enrolment in the DCP/MSc, and plan to resume your studies, you won't be able to pre-enrol.
Instead, you'll need to lodge a recommencement application form with the Faculty of Science Office.
