Enrolment check

First year DCP/MSc students are required to enrol in a total of 48 credit points, 24 credit points in Semester 1 and 24 credit points in Semester 2. All students are required to check their enrolment confirmation notice from the Faculty of Science or International Office against the prescribed list of units of study detailed above. Please note it is the student's responsibility to check the enrolment is correct. Please check that you are enrolled in the correct semester for each unit of study. If you are not correctly enrolled your results will not be reported and the completion of your degree will be affected. The latest date to make changes to enrolment without penalty is the census date, 31 March for Semester 1 and 31 August for Semester 2.

Pre-enrolment

Pre-enrolment is compulsory for all students who are currently enrolled and who intend to continue their studies next year. First year students are required to pre-enrol in Second Year DCP units of study for Semester 1 and Semester 2. First year students do not need to pre-enrol in the MSc, as they are required to go to the Faculty of Science in person in July of second year in order to enrol part time in the MSc.

Online pre-enrolment
Pre-enrol online via your MyUni account. Note the paper pre-enrolment deadline is before the online pre-enrolment deadline so students are advised not to wait until after the paper pre-enrolment deadline has passed before trying to pre-enrol.
The deadline for on-line pre-enrolment is 7 November 2008.

Paper pre-enrolment
If your online pre-enrolment was not successful, you are required to go to the Faculty of Science in person and complete a paper pre-enrolment. Please download a paper pre-enrolment form from the Faculty website. Submit the completed paper pre-enrolment form at the Faculty of Science counter.
The deadline for in person paper enrolment is 24 October 2008.

Re-enrolment

You will have been notified by an email from the Student Centre if your pre-enrolment was not successful. If your pre-enrolment was not successful you are required to go to the Faculty of Science or International Office to re-enrol in person.
The re-enrolment date is 20-21 February.

The Faculty of Science Student Record System FLEXSIS often experiences online pre-enrolment difficulties with the DCP/MSc program. This may be due to second year students being enrolled in two degrees concurrently (part time in the DCP and part time in the MSc), also with third year students being enrolled in zero credit point load units of study. As a result, students often experience difficulties enrolling in ALL DCP units of study, they will then be required to go to the Faculty of Science to complete their enrolment in person by re-enrolling.

Suspension

Students are able to suspend their studies for a maximum of one year.
If you intend to suspend your studies you will need to lodge a Suspension, Absence, Time Away, Total Discontinuation and Complete Away application form with the Faculty of Science Office.

Re-commencement

If you've suspended your enrolment in the DCP/MSc, and plan to resume your studies, you won't be able to pre-enrol.
Instead, you'll need to lodge a recommencement application form with the Faculty of Science Office.
