Research Collection Borrowing

The Research Collection is comprised of equipment funded by the School of Psychology and from the clinic income and has been set aside for the purpose of research. Borrowing is limited to School of Psychology academic staff, currently enrolled Honours and Postgraduate students. Currently enrolled undergraduate Psychology students are only permitted to view equipment in the Research Collection. The loan period for the Research Collection is up to two (2) weeks, renewable in person and dependent upon other requests for the materials.

Please note that the Research Collection only supports short-term loans. If you require long-term access to tests, you may wish to consider purchasing the test yourself. The Test Librarian can help with information on the ordering and costing of tests and forms. You will then need to register independently with the supplier and place the order via the Financial Assistant in the School of Psychology.

The Test Library cannot provide funding for copyrighted consumable materials for research purposes. That is, any copyrighted forms that may be included with material borrowed from the Research Collection MUST be returned to the library unused - they are provided as examples only. Some tests are 'public domain' - test materials/forms can be copied freely, requiring only a reference to a manual or journal article. The use of other tests is copyrighted, such that you cannot reproduce (eg. photocopy) consumable materials such as test forms - they MUST be purchased. If you decide you want to use a test with copyrighted forms, talk to your supervisor about possible sources of funding.

For further information on borrowing restrictions and privileges, please view the Test Library Procedures.
