Psychology Clinic Directions

The Psychology Clinic is located just off the main Camperdown campus of the University of Sydney in Forest Lodge. The Clinic is situated at 2 Arundel St Forest Lodge in the Mackie Building (Door 3), near the footbridge on Parramatta Rd. If heading towards the city along Parramatta Rd, you may turn left into Ross St and turn right into Arundel St, or you may turn left into Arundel St just after the Footbridge bus stop. If you are heading away from the city on Parramatta Rd, turn right at Derwent St and left into Arundel St.

Public Transport to the Clinic

Bus

Public transport is easily available to the campus, by bus along Parramatta Rd to the University Footbridge bus stop (Parramatta Rd nr Footbridge, Camperdown). Buses going along Parramatta Rd from the City to the University are: 412, 413, 436, 438, 439, 440, 461, 480, 483. For bus times, check the Transport Info Line.

Train

The Clinic is a 15 minute walk from Central Station or you can take the train to central and take a bus from Railway Square at Central to the Footbridge bus stop. For train times, check the Transport Info Line.

Alternatively the Clinic is a 25 minute walk from Redfern Station. Exit Redfern station turning left onto Lawson St, turning left at the end into Abercrombie St. Walk along Abercrombie St for a while, then turn right into Codrington St. Follow Codrington St which leads into Butlin Ave. Butlin Ave joins the main University gates at City Rd. Cross City Rd, enter through the university gates. Walk along Eastern Ave, up through the Main Quad, left onto Science Road and turn right at the Holme Building to walk across the footbridge. After the footbridge, the Mackie Building is the first building on the left.

Driving to the Clinic

Public transport is highly recommended. However, one-hour free on-street parking is available in Arundel St and the surrounding streets. Alternatively, there is free parking for up to three hours at the nearby Broadway Shopping Centre at the corner of Bay St and Broadway. Entry to the carpark is from Bay St. It is a short ten-minute walk past Victoria Park and the University up Parramatta Rd and Arundel St to the Psychology Clinic. Please note when driving, if coming from the city, you must turn right at Derwent St and left into Arundel St, just after Glebe Point Road.

Complimentary University Parking for Clinic Visitors

For patients attending the Clinic for psychometric assessments or longer appointments, complimentary parking is available in a University parking lot opposite the Mackie Building, in a designated ‘Clinic Visitors’ parking space. The University parking lot is on Arundel St with the entrance at the rear in Catherine St, off Lodge or Seamer St. To be eligible to park patients must display a “Clinic Visitors” parking pass on their dashboard, obtained from the Clinic Receptionist upon arrival. If the Clinic Visitor pass is not displayed a parking fine of $86 will apply.

Clients attending groups and research programs are NOT eligible to park in the complimentary Clinic Visitors spaces.
