Post-doctoral research fellow (funded by NBCF)

I am a Clinical Research Psychologist and have been involved in clinical practice with cancer patients and psycho-oncology research since completing my Masters of Clinical Psychology, at the University of Sydney in 2000. From 2000-2005 I worked with the Psychosocial Research Office and Department of Medical Oncology, Prince of Wales Hospital. In 2005 I completed a PhD exploring the fertility and menopause-related information needs of younger women with a diagnosis of breast cancer. In 2008 I commenced a National Breast Cancer Foundation post-doctoral research fellowship with CeMPED. As part of this fellowship I am conducting into fear of cancer recurrence in cancer survivors. My other research interests include multidisciplinary team communication issues, psychological screening, patient education and decision-making, psychosocial aspects of breast cancer and hereditary cancers, and cancer survivorship.
